Callao VFD Fall Festival  Parade - Callao, VA

Several ODHFS members paraded their apparatus in the Callao VFD Fall Festival and Firemen's Parade on Saturday 20 OCT 2007. ODHFS members won several awards as follows...

• Paul & Nancy Rogers - 1967 Seagrave, Best Appearing Antique - Privately Owned 
• Carroll Groff - 1953 GMC-American, 2nd Best Appearing Antique - Privately Owned 
• Paul & Nancy Rogers, 1984 Ford-Darley, 3rd Best Appearing Antique - Privately Owned
• Bonnie Swift, 1973 Ford-American, Judges Award

Also present in the parade was a newer ODHFS member, and Bonnie's Dad, Bill Hudnall with his beautiful 1968 Mack 750pgm pumper. Welcome aboard Bill! There were apparatus from quite far away areas such as Bon-Air/Chesterfield FD and Hillside VFD. PG County MD.

Of interest is the the "family involvement" for ODHFS in this area! Paul and Nancy are husband- and-wife apparatus owners, and Bonnie Swift and Bill Hudnall are daughter and father apparatus owners! And we can't forget Andy Swift, Bonnie's husband who is a great help with Bonnie's mechanical and fabrication projects!

Thanks to Nancy Rogers for the photos. ODHFS finished the area parade season with great participation and representation. Especially with the emergency closure of the Norris Bridge at White Stone VA! We're all getting ready for the Christmas Parades now!

NOTE: ODHFS member Cephas M. (Tommy) Thomas attended the Callao Parade, although he didn't bring his apparatus, as he was feeling much better after recuperating from recent surgery. Also there were ODHFS members Pat Bahen and Sharyn Urofski to cheer us all from the side- lines! Glad to see you guys! Thanks for your support!
