2008 Events

NOTICE! We still need people to help pull the hose reel on Saturday, May 3 in the Grand Feature Parade. We step off at 1:30 pm on Saturday and should be finished in about an hour. Interested persons should contact Pete West at (703) 255-2016 or clark10131@verizon.net ASAP.

Reminder: The Northern Region will sponsor a donation flea market at Apple Blossom this year. Each Northern Region Member should bring at least one "desirable" fire equipment item or memorabilia item to donate. Members willing to donate should contact Chester Lauck or by phone at (540) 662-7682.

Date Change - Due to circumstances beyond our control, the date of the CAFAA Spring Muster has been changed. Originally scheduled for June 7th, the new date is Saturday, May 31st. If you have already submitted a registration form and are unable to attend, please contact BernardSchweigman@comcast.net for a refund. With this being a busy time of year, we understand that this schedule change will be an inconvenience to some. We just found out this information and hope that mostly everyone will still be able to attend.

Virginia Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service 
RIR Facility on Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA - 12 Noon - 1PM. 

This has been moved into the Old Dominion Building for 2008. This is a climate controlled facility. It also affords us the opportunity to park apparatus INSIDE and surround the seating area. As always this event is followed by a catered BBQ lunch for all attendees, free of charge. Make plans now to support this event. More information will be posted as we get closer to the event. Hosted by the Central New York Chapter.

Karl Ehlshlager (540-777-2033) has reserved an 11-passenger van for the event which will be leaving Roanoke on Thursday (7/31) and returning to Roanoke on Sunday (8/3). Karl currently has three ODHFS members interested in van pooling to the muster and sharing the travel costs. Contact Karl directly to let him know if you are interested too!

Brandy Station Volunteer Firemen's Annual Car & Truck Show
This event is co-sponsored by the Culpeper Cruisers
Show is from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
$12.00 Registration fee - Open Show Door Prizes, Trophies Awarded
