Pumper to Snorkel
Conversion

ODHFS WebChief Jack Sullivan, was active with the Paoli Fire Co. in Pennsylvania from 1972 to 1983 and served as a firefighter, Lieutenant, 
Asst. Chief and later Deputy Chief. During that time, "Snorkel 36" was 
the pride of the station. It was not unusual for Snorkel to retrofit fire 
engines with small booms, but it was unusual for snorkels to be mounted 
on 1951 Mack L Model pumpers, with open cabs. It is an unusual rig, 
that has served with distinction for each fire department that bought it. 
Check out the interesting history of this unique rig that is still in 
service in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
