1953 Oren International

SOLD as of 2/14/08

Excellent condition, garage kept. 
This unit has 33,000 original miles. It has a straight 6 cylinder 
gas engine with a 2-speed rear. Pumps water but leaks around packing. This truck is all original (1953) including equipment except for the rear lights. Brake system has been replaced with brass sleeves on the wheel cylinders. Truck is priced with all equipment as shown in pictures. 
This truck was purchased by the Strasburg (VA) VFD 
in 1953 and ran as Engine 31. 
Selling because I need the garage space. 
Asking $5,000 or best offer.

I hate to sell it, but I have to many toys and I refuse to let them set outside. I have really enjoyed owning this truck, and I know you will too. I would really like for it to stay in Virginia, as it is an Oren. Built and served in VA, would really be a shame for it to go somewhere else. Plus, my son and I would like to have visitation rights. The paint and chrome do not look as good now as it did in the photo. A friend was storing this for me, and decided to park it outside for about 2 months without my knowledge while I was building my garage. The truck is still very presentable though and to my knowledge has never been parked outside except for that short time. Asking $4,000.00
