This in a 1973 American LaFrance Pioneer chassis 1250 GPM 500/ 50 gal foam pumper. It has a 6V53 Series Detroit Diesel and Allison automatic transmission. It was purchased by the Cty of Hopewell, Va. in 1973 and served until 2002. It was sold to Virginia MotorSports Park in Dinwiddie to be used as fire protection for the racetrack, and then left in the woods for scrap. ODHFS Member Robert Williamson and his sons purchased the truck Dec. 1, 2011 and displayed it at its' first parade on Dec. 11, 2011 at the Chester, Va.
